How it works

R = S × (1 − P / 100)

The discount applies once to the original price. Use the same currency for all amounts.

How the discount is calculated

Savings = original price × discount percentage ÷ 100. Sale price = original price − savings. Enter the price and discount shown for a single item.

Worked example

An item costs 4,990 and is discounted by 20%. Savings = 4,990 × 0.20 = 998. The discounted price is 4,990 − 998 = 3,992. Both prices and savings are in the same currency.

What the result includes

The calculator applies one percentage discount to the entered price. Shipping, taxes added at checkout, coupons and currency conversion are not included unless they are already reflected in the entered price.

For successive discounts, apply each discount to the new price in turn; adding percentages together gives a different result.
