Example: Scale = Points from 0 to 4; Courses = (4 · 4); (3 · 2); Custom scale maximum = 4. Result: Grade point average = 3.666667 (Total credits / weight: 6).

Understanding the result

A–F scale: A+/A=4; A−=3.7; B+=3.3; B=3; B−=2.7; C+=2.3; C=2; C−=1.7; D+=1.3; D=1; F=0. Replace numeric grades with letters in letter mode. Custom uses your numeric grades and maximum. This is an explicit scale, not a universal institutional rule. Up to 20 courses.

Courses contribute according to their credit weight. Select the grading scale used by your institution; this calculator cannot infer local conversion rules between grading systems.
